announce our new Indoff Partner web site is up and running. This is not an official corporate site but JT has given
the go ahead for partners to work together on their own sites.
This site will be strictly for material handling products and I will be
the webmaster. This service costs either $15, $25 or $35 per month see

Strength
in numbers- this site will draw nationwide customers to it.
The
more sales locations people see when they visit us the more likely they are to
use us. The more partners that join
the more effort I can spend on this.

Promotion
and advertising: I want you partners to get more than your moneys worth so
besides putting up a lot of content, promoting our site in search engines etc I
also plan to spend some money on advertising for the group in mass (dollars
spent will be dependent on number of partners that join program).

Cross-selling:
the goal is to have customers easily find their local salesman.
Exactly how a CT customer who calls the Florida partner gets
handled will fall under the cross selling rules….
This however is less of a concern to me than the major goal of getting
people to find Indoff Partners at all, once the customer gets helped or sold to
the partners can work out a equitable solution.

“Product” given play. If its
applicable to material handling in general I can promote your product line or
item as part of general page work. If
you have a special “Gizmo” we can put it up on your personal pages or you
can do the domain name deal such as

and promote it there.

Look for
name at www.register.com I will do the actual registration but do your seaching
here. For example Army Yonnone got www.racksystems.com
- you can get whatever you want but try to get a .com rather than .org or
.net.

Visibility
in search engines- I am constantly working on this
but this site currently comes up well in search engines

good deal for all of us and will work better the more of us that are involved.

Be aware
that doing your own web site is fine but the pitfalls are...

Promotion-
this alone is a whole art that will take much time and money
o
site
design and content- lots and lots of time and learning
o
Regional
vs. national- the main reason for this site is that the web is national.
You can’t really promote it regionally and have it pay off.
Customers want a local salesman which is what this site provides.
